MANCHESTER, CT - The Robert H. Lord Company announced that it has donated 130 pieces of school furnishings to the Hartford Public School System.
Company President John Lord describes the motivation for the donation. "My father, Robert Lord, began our family business in 1967 with Golden Rule values. We have built our organization providing the highest quality furnishings to schools. We feel it is important to share our success and help our young people get a quality education where we can."
According to Dr. Al Hinds, Chief of Building Operations, the donation was greatly appreciated by the Hartford Public School System. "The new furniture certainly improved the conditions in classrooms, small group instructional areas and various offices. Some of the donated furniture replaced old and outdated items while the majority of the items were new pieces for the schools. We appreciate the generosity of the Robert H Lord Company," said Dr. Hinds. "We’re glad to have been able to enhance the learning environment for Hartford students. We know that students’ school experiences have been improved because there is now enough classroom furniture to accommodate them." said John Lord.
